Hi Hooooo, A Look at Mining
MMORPG.com Dofus Correspondent Christy Bazell writes this look at the mining profession in Ankama’s F2P game.
What is one of the most competitive professions on Dofus?
The Miner of course!
Mines can be scary places with dark crevasses and scary monsters, but often times the scariest thing you will find in a mine is an aggressive miner. Now I am not talking about Dark Miners the monsters but players with a pick to grind because you are competing for the same ore.
Now, with recent updates there has been a decline in player aggressions while mining and no longer are Percs placed in cave to collect the resource bags dropped by protectors. However, mining is still one of the most competitive gathering professions in the world of twelve.

Lumberjack Guide
MMORPG.com Dofus Correspondent Christy Bazell writes this look at the Lumberjack career in Ankama’s MMO.
Lumberjack has been quoted as the most tedious, time consuming profession to level. I beg to differ but do agree that is a profession that can be boring and time consuming.
With a lumberjack you have 16 species of trees to cut. Of course the most profitable of these trees comes much much later in the lumberjack leveling. On the upside your products are purchased by a high number of professionals. So, even at a low level you will make kama.

The Alchemist
MMORPG.com Dofus Correspondent Christy Bazell writes this look at the Alchemist profession in Ankama’s MMO.
What is so great about being an alchemist? Well let’s start with all the plants you can gather, dyes, and numerous potions including smithmagic potions you can make. Okay you’re still not convinced. Let’s take a look at some specific elements of the profession.
The Plants
There are seven different plant types that an alchemist can gather. Starting at level one you can collect flax flowers. With these flowers you begin making your first potion, mini healing potions; we will discuss this recipe more in a bit.
For every ten levels of experience you gain you will have a new plant to gather. At level 50 you will have your last two2 plants ripe for the picking. Take the time to mass harvest and stock pile the flowers for future use. Here is the breakdown as to when and which plants you will be able to harvest:

The Baking Profession
MMORPG.com Dofus Correspondent Christy Bazell writes this look at the baking profession in Ankama’s MMO.
How would you like to make kama fast, fast, fast?
Making Kama fast is easy, make and sell a product that everyone in game has to have….what is that you ask?
Bread of course!
Bread is the amazing healing food that every player needs; Sacs and Iops especially. Every time a player takes damage they lose a health point (HP). Health points need to be replenished or your character will die. There are 3 options for refilling HP; resting, potions or bread.

Farming Guide
MMORPG.com Dofus Correspondent Christy Bazell writes this quick guide for farming in the Ankama MMO.
So you have created a character only to notice that you can’t afford to buy gear, a pet, a house or even bread. What can I do, you ask?
Well farming is a good start.
Farming is one of the few professions that you can level to 100 in without spending any kama. You will also have a number of ways to make kama: selling your cereal, flour, oil and seeds. Or, you can form a great combination of professions as farmer/baker. Create flour and then use it to make bread to sell to other players. This has kama kama kama written all over it……

Damage Sram Guide
MMORPG.com Dofus Correspondent nathan Swanson writes this guide to an interesting Sram build for Ankama’s MMORPG, Dofus.
Here’s an unconventional build for a Sram – a +damage build (levels 1-90). You might see these kinds of build in other classes, but not Srams (none that I’ve met anyway). I stumbled on this build when the Turko Set was made available to be crafted for the first time. I wanted the extra AP, and as a side-effect I got a bunch of +damage. To make a long story short, I realized that a lot of spells that are typically looked over by Sram players suddenly become quite useful – namely, tricky trap (can you believe it?), poison trap, and leek pie (fire damage from Sram, YES!!).

Iop Class Overview
MMORPG.com Dofus Correspondent Christy Bazell writes this overview of the Iop class in the Ankama MMO.
So you want to be an Iop, be ready to eat a lot of bread. Iops are close combat fighters. They wield a sword like a super hero striking fear in both monsters and players. The most common Iop builds are strength, intelligence and agility. However a pure agility Iop is much harder to play since they have a limited spell arsenal.

Tailoring Guide
MMORPG.com Dofus Correspondent nathan Swanson writes this guide to the tailoring craft in Ankama’s Dofus.
Before we begin, I would like to first state that by becoming a tailor, you are starting down a long, long, long road. The tailor profession is considered by many to be the hardest (but most profitable) profession in the game. In other words, the light at the end of this tunnel will be very bright, but the time it takes to get there will be very long, and the amount of Kamas that you invest … well, you probably don’t want to know.
Secondly, if you are f2p (free-to-play) and plan to stay that way, don’t even bother. You really don’t make any money as a tailor until level 40, and it’s a HUGE Kamas investment until then – much more than what a f2p can bring in. In mean, you can’t even get a tailor manual unless a p2p (pay-to-play) gets one for you – small hint there.
